Camp Like a Girl – Girl Scout Camp Registration Open to All Girls!

When Juliette Gordon Low founded Girl Scouts in 1912, she did so with an appreciation for the environment and the skills girls learn through outdoor recreation. Now 100 years later, Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois is delivering a unique camping program for all girls that incorporates Low’s love of nature along with adventures for girls in 2012!

Today’s Girl Scout camp experience includes things your grandmother did—such as taking nature hikes, canoeing and swimming, along with things relevant to today’s girls such as acting, electrical engineering, traveling and…swimming—some things never change! Prospective campers are encouraged to register as soon as possible since most sessions fill up quickly. Registration is available online at http://www.girlscoutsni.org/.

Prospective campers are encouraged to attend camp open houses at:

Camp McCormick – Stillman Valley, IL

Saturday, May 5, 3–5 p.m.

Camp Dean – Big Rock, IL

Sunday, May 6, 1–4 p.m.
